The "White Map" interrogates the transmutation of information in the algorithmic age. By pulverizing collected suicide reports—specifically their location data, Google Maps information, and chaotic narratives—into raw pulp, the distinct chaos of the original info is silenced into a monochromatic expanse. This process creates a "white veil"—an erasure of visible content where billions of bytes of data linger, ghost-like, within the fiber itself. The resulting surface forms a vast, illegible map.
The work serves as a critique of the "post-truth" era, where objective facts are deconstructed into an intersubjective reality. White Map confronts the viewer with a profound paradox: when the medium is magnified, the message becomes blurred and irretrievable. It challenges us to see through this calculated opacity—questioning whether we are looking at the echoes of truth or carefully constructed illusions.
